Imagine frustrated tonight

I have spent the last hour working on the advanced calibration settings trying to get the cut more aligned. I don't know why the calibration went off. Haven't moved my machine. I am close but its still not perfect.. Stopping and going to bed early. Been fighting a mild cold.

crafted today after all!

My daughter left to go back to school at 4:30 so in the craft room I came. I finished another 2 page layout for my sons graduation book and made an imagine xmas card. I am having trouble with the imagine cutting correctly. It was fine before so I don't know what is up. The red pattern paper and the xmas tree are from the snow angels imagine cartridge.

Happy, happy family time.

I have been enjoying having my family here, decorating for Christmas, and meeting old high school friends home for the holidays. Back to reality tomorrow and a more relaxed schedule. Hope to get crafting tonight or tomorrow night. I need to do an advanced calibration on my Imagine. I have been putting it off but I don't like the cuts I am getting.

Lori's garden

I got my imagine Lori's garden cart today. Only had a little time to play but I think this thank you card works for another teacher friend gift for Christmas. I will make probably 5 more for a set. Everyone can always use a nice stash of thank you cards. The embossing folder is plum blossoms. Not sure if I should have inked or if it needs doodles. Sometimes the finishing touches come the next day when I look at it again. PS... feel the cutting was a little off on this design so i may re-calibrate the Imagine before I cut the rest.

Hot Chocolate Jar

I am giving away a couple hot chocolate jars tomorrow so I thought I would post what one looks like completed.

Finally some pictures

I made 8 of these monogram note cards this week for a friends birthday that is coming up. I am also working on a 8 X 8 album for my son that celebrates his undergraduate and graduate degree from college. He complained that I have made several for my daughter and none for him. Sorry about that. Girls just lend themselves to cute little albums.

Friday

I actually did get crafting in on Wednesday and Thursday. I hope to take some pictures to get up on the site tomorrow. It was a hectic week with meetings and getting back to the gym.. Off to my first Holiday party tonight. Can you believe it?? It is a Toy drive party for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Hope they collect lots of goodies.

Last Night

I worked on 8 new monogram note cards. I got all the layering and embossing done. Tonight I just have to cut and add the monogram layers. I am giving these to several people for Christmas. Been a busy week. Last night was my first one home.

Sunday

I have been busy, busy today. I made 12 jars of homemade hot chocolate that I give out at Christmas. I am going to wrap the jars with paper that I punched the edges on and made 12 of the tags pictured here to match the patterned Christmas paper. I won't put the paper and tags on until I am ready to hand them out so they don't get ruined. Then I made 4 of these monogram cards to go in the wooden calendar holder as another Christmas gift. I got the idea from this card from a blog. I apologize that I don't remember where I saw it but I had saved a sketch of it. Please know that this is not my original design and I wish I could give credit to the designer. On the card I used the distressed stripes embossing folder, and the C is from Storybook.

Give up

Okay tonight I was experimenting with embossing Imagine images to use in projects as per a tip on the cricut circle. I have to say that it takes about 3 coatings but then it looks like the enamel embellishments to buy! Very cool. Now I just have to learn how to take pictures inside that are not all flash white that show what I am talking about. Sorry for no photo. I will try and take one outside tomorrow.

leaves, leaves and more leaves

I haven't crafted ( even with being off from work for Veterans Day) but my moms yard is free of leaves at least for now. Of all the yard work there is to be done raking and blowing leaves is the one I dislike the most. It's scrapping night at church so I have that to look forward too.

Imagine Nation Monday challenge

I am working on wooden calendars tonight but took a quick time out to make an anniversary card for my ex-in laws and enter the Imagine Nation Challenge. I used the Yummy cart, dotted swiss cuttlebug folder and buttons.

more calendars

Working on finishing up 3 more wooden calendars to get a clean slate in my craft room going. At least two more nights, inking, glimmer misting and cutting pieces to go. Hopefully after that I will move on to holiday projects swirling in my brain. Wish I had all the calendars in hand when I was on a roll but had to order some. When you get an idea you want to go with it . I find going back to that idea like these calendars a chore.

Finally a whole night of crafting

I have just not had the crafting bug but tonight made up for it. I made 5 turkeys from create a critter for my school bulletin board. Last month I had five jack-o-lanterns sitting on a fence like the little jingle so I decided to leave the fence up and change it out with 5 turkeys. I will try and take a picture on Monday when I put them up. I cut them at 10 3/4 because that was the largest I could cut all the layers on a 12" mat. After that I made penguins for my daughters sorority bulletin board using create-a-critter. I was like didn't I cut penguins last year. I got the look. You know. Apparently penguins are some kind of something to the girls so they always use them in the winter bulletin board in the student common area for their sorority. Then I made little favors to place on everyones plate for Thanksgiving. I have been wanting to do something. Last year I cut little bags and put candy in them. I got the inspiration for this from My Pink Life' s candy holders. I used cosmo cricket paper and the turkey was create-a-critter cut at 2 inches and the turkeys actually look just like the ones I cut at 10 3/4 inches. I got the ribbon in the clearance section at Acmoore. I bought it because it matched the paper. I will slide a bag of nuts into the opening. I decided on nuts this year because my brother is diabetic and this will be something he can enjoy and eat for a change.

Been Away

I have been away in Atlantic City at the NJEA convention. Hope to get back to crafting tomorrow. I need to make a November Bulletin Board to put up on Monday. I also need to make the thanksgiving table favors and the list goes on. I better get busy now that I am home.

Going Buggy: WIN THE ENTIRE RANGE OF 148 PROMARKERS

Going Buggy: WIN THE ENTIRE RANGE OF 148 PROMARKERS

election day

I haven't feeling very crafty after the loss of my friend but tonight I tried to play with the smiley cart. I find it difficult to figure out with no images to view and no manuel. I live right out of Philly the soft pretzel city, thus the pretzel card. The base was the shadow welded to make the card base. I added stickles, doodles and the stamp is from My Pink Stamper.
