CKC

Fab day traveling to CKC at the Lancaster convention center. Bitter sweet missing my Linda from last year but loving my friends Karen and Susan's first trip. Could have lived without rush hour and Friday shore traffic but we all arrived home safe and sound so all is good!

off to CKC

CKC is in Lancaster PA this year. A little farther than Valley Forge... Wish us happy shopping.

Another card

I got the idea for this card on pinterest but I did change it up a bit to make it my own. I sized the tags on the gypsy and cut the lace strip under the ribbon with a MS punch. The stamp if from a free set I got some place and it has no name on it.

Gotta run, working again today! Who says teachers have the whole summer off? Well...actually, I'm not getting paid but it's okay. I am really excited about designing the positive behavior supports program for our students in the fall.

I made a few of these the other night. The balloon is from the pop-up card cartridge.

Card supply is LOW

I have to start makin cards again instead of scrapbook pages. My supply is low. I got the Linen closet pattern and solid mat stacks for some cards. I made 3 of these with that stack. The punch and stamp are MCT. I colored with some spectrum noir I have been picking up with 50 % off coupons.

Blogger has not been my friend

For some reason in the last week I have tried to post to blogger 3 times and every time there was some kind of problem. It either didn't post or it didn't look right so I deleted it. This is a kind a test to see if posting without a picture works.

I haven't had this busy a summer in a while but it's all good! I wrote curriculum in the mornings the first two weeks back from DC, I am reading tons of books and this week I have two days of positive behavior supports training. I'm off to do laundry and straighten the house.

Home

Home at last after 10 days in the nations capital... boy was it hot but I love every minute of it.

I was in DC for the NEA conference but I went 3 days early to sight see.... WOW did I see a lot. All the major monuments, Arlington National Cemetery and the holocaust museum. I did a bus tour past ALL the major places to see... I am so lucky I went early. Everyone that was coming on Saturday by train had hours and hours of delays. Many people just rented vans and cars and ended up driving. Storms took out the trains from Philly to DC. On Sunday all we had was a state caucus ( the nea conference started on Monday) so after a bunch of us took the metro then buses to Mt. Vernon. Wow the history there is unbelievable. I even signed up for a night Segway tour of DC after a full day of meetings where I had gotten up at 5 am to attend. On the 4th of July I braved the crowds after the RA and went and found a spot on the grass next to the Washington Monument to see the spectacular fireworks... Amazing. Lots of business done at the RA but I am happy to be home today on my baby girls 23rd birthday! yeah! Even with a 45 minute train today getting here.

I'm tired, tired tired.. my son just came home and tomorrow we will do the family b-day dinner a day late... Oh almost forgot my gift to her arrived damaged!!!! I am so disappointed!

I will try to regroup and get back to crafting in a few days.
