Craft Withdrawl
I am in craft withdrawal. Thank goodness tomorrow night is scrapbook night at church. Can't remember when it has been this long for me to not carve out some time for me. Oh well!

Friday
Busy, busy.. Church yard sale set up tonight, tomorrow picket for NJ education and work the yard sale. Cook for my daughters boyfriend visiting, Sunday move my son back to the nest from Brooklyn. Bittersweet as he lost his job but I choose to believe that when one door closes another one opens.( DID I say I hate driving the NJ turnpike to NY... well I do.) Somehow I fear there will be no crafting time for me this weekend but that is what mommies do... It will work out. It always does. Oh and I lost my voice and have a sore throat. All you can do is live in the moment and laugh.

38th birthday
I had a request from a friend to make her two 38 birthday cards using a cupcake.. I used the Sweat treats cart. The only thing I would do differently would be to try and cuddle bug the front cupcake for some more texture. It is all a learning process. This card is for a female. The one for the male is the same layout but without the glitter paper.
another graduation card
I got the inspiration for this card from the cricut message board. I am sorry I do not remember the name of the person to give her credit. I used the gypsy to weld makin the grade numbers with shadow black out to the graduation cap from the every day paper doll cart. I then layered numbers on top in a lighter color.

Alas
Alas, I finished unfinished projects yesterday. Today was chores, dinner with my mom and now it is time to watch the Flyers. I confess I am a die hard Philly sports fan since I am 20 minutes south of Philly in South Jersey. I am just not one of the crazy ones. I have a half done graduation card that I was waiting on some special paper to compete. Hopefully tomorrow.

No crafting this week
Ughhh I went back to work on Monday 4 weeks after surgery to drama, drama, drama. All I can say is, it has never been more depressing to be a teacher in the State of New Jersey until now. If it weren't for the kiddies to brighten my day which is why I went back 2 weeks early I don't know what I would do. Hoping to craft on my usual Thursday night at church with my scrapbook group. Hope to have something to post this weekend. Thursday we are working on a scrapbook for a retiring teacher.

Finally
I finally got back to paper crafting tonight. My daughter moving home from college, finishing a baby blanket for a shower and planting annuals have gotten in the way. I am making a chip board book for my daughter. I got all the paper glued on and trimmed tonight. Tomorrow, sand, ink and glimmer mist. Hope to post pictures soon. She loves pocketbooks so the book is a pocketbook shape.

scraps card
Okay on some blog today I read use your scraps... Can I remember which one to post it?? NO!
I find these challenges, challenging. I usually create with a person or event in mind so that is why it is so hard for me. I read the scrap challenge somewhere today and then in my thinking was remembering a special person I work with that I wanted to remember. I flipped through cart books and came up with this card using my gypsy and scraps. I needed the gypsy to get the most of my scraps on the mat. Every paper you see on this card was from my solid paper scrap bag. ( I divide scraps into solids and prints) I used the create a critter cart and my pink stampers simply sweet occasions stamp.
