Bad blogger

I've been a really bad blogger and paper crafter the last 2 weeks. I have been busy but can't say with what. I have been knitting and reading. Tonight I am going to get my mojo back and go to scrapping.

Here is the card I made for my student. I used create a critter, and sparkle paper on the whale to make him look wet. You can't tell from the picture but his water spray from his spout has glossy accents. He is also attached with an action wobble.

valentines

I never got around to posting this last week. I made 30 of these for my students last Monday night using the MCT lollipop die with coordinating Valentine stamps. Haven't really been in the craft room since. I had a busy 3 day weekend. Tonight I am making a get well card for a student that just had his tonsils out. Oh I have been house hunting with my daughter. That is exciting.

This card design was on papertrey ink's web page as an example of how to use the square prints stamps. I had to make it. I used orange zest, raspberry fizz and berry sorbet ink and paper on a white card base. The birthday stamp is from MCT gift card sentiments.

My goal is to stay out of craft stores today and save money. Use what I have. Make some more A child's Year cuts before I return the cart on Thursday and just enjoy my Sunday!

A child's Year

I borrowed my friends cart and I have been going to town making cards. I made 12 of this card to start my Christmas cards for next year. This is for all the ones that I send out that are non-Christmas specific. The inside is stamped with Happy Holidays. I used all paper from my stash and the swiss dots cuddlebug embossing folder. I send out over 60 plus cards. Some designs I mass produce and for people who really appreciate handmade cards they get one of a kind designs. It usually takes me all year to make them since I can only make so many of a design without going batty.

Saturated Canary Image

Saturated Canary had this image up for free download for 24 hours. I used copic and spectrum noir markers to color it.

I used an ek success border punch, stickles and colorbox chalk.

Heart 2 Heart #12

I bought the heart 2 heart #12 stamp and coordinating die on an impulse buy last Friday night when I was surfing the net in my hotel room in AC. This is just a quick  card to try it out. I used a Martha Stewart icicle punch for the grass and glossy accents along with some gems.

last Christmas layout

I never got around to photographing my early holiday layouts but I did manage to take a picture last night of the last two page layout from the 2012 holidays. I used Kerry Bradford  storyboards so I could heavily load the layout with pictures. All 3 2-page layouts for this holiday season came from sei Kris Kringle paper collection I got 2 years ago at a Valley Forge Scrapbooking Event. I used the paper pup cartridge in this layout. I have to say this is not a cart I would have ever bought but it came in my expression bundle way back in 2007. I have used it man times. Go figure. I got Christmas gift money from my ex-in-laws and bought my first expression between Christmas and New years with an online deal from ACMoore that included 4 cartridges. Who knew an addiction was in the making. LOL I hope you can see in the one picture my mom is holding up a wall hanging. My mom always sang that to my kids when they were babies and my Darcy found that in an Etsy shop and had to get it for my mom for Christmas. I love that my young adult children already get the importance of family connections and lifetime memories.
