stamps by Judith

I fell in love with the stamps by Judith at CKC in Valley Forge. I colored 8 of these between last night and today. Yes... I am working on my Christmas cards already. In fact already have at least 20 done. When I get inspiration I make some and then by December I have between 60 and 70 ready to go out. Hope to color some more images between now and Thursday. Then on scrapnight take them all and make them up into cards. I tried coloring once there and the lighting isn't good enough. I am used to coloring under my OttLite.
I colored everything with my copics. I put glossy accents on the light bulbs and smooch pearlized top coat on the fur sections of the hat.

Grounds for Sculpture

I have been wanting to go to this place for 2 years. Every time it is scheduled something happens. Last time it was scheduled I broke my ankle.. Amazing place in Hamilton NJ. Didn't get to see it all, definitely going back. This is just a sampling of the 225 photos I just uploaded to snapfish to get prints of.

CKC

Another successful year of shopping at CKC in Valley Forge PA.. Nice haul of goodies. Definitely going to have to put the scrapbook up and make some Christmas cards with the stamps of got today..:-) I have to say that it was a very light turnout at CKC today. I hope for the vendors sake that business picks up for them on Friday and Saturday... I was looking to purchase a bind-it-all but alas nobody had them.. Last year they were there and a really good deal..

slow going

This graduation album has been really slow going for me!!! It seems like I am always being pulled in one direction or another this summer. My moms multiple doc appointments, sick dog, painting my moms family room, birthday celebrations, my kids wanting me to go to either my nieces or sister-in-laws pool everyday... ( I am just not into the sun that much anymore!!!) Now I have to make a decision... empty the craft room this weekend and paint it next week, (at least 3 to 4 days of painting because I have to prime the 80's faux paint on the walls plus ceiling) or wait till I get back from a leadership conference on the 11th.. I am thinking go for it then the rest of my summer before school starts will be fun time.

Anyhow.. the papers in this layout came from one of those complete scrapbook kits my sister-in-law gave me for Christmas. I layered some, added stickles to give dimension, used K & company adhesive paper ribbon and cut the letters with Makin the Grade. After this I will be on to the actual college graduation pictures.

Thursday I will be going with a bunch of friends to CKC for the day in Valley Forge PA. I have been making a wish list for days. Lucky me got some spending money for my birthday on Sunday. :-)

slowly scrappin

I have to tell you I do not know where the time is going this summer. Way less crafting time than I anticipated but enjoying my two young adults living at home. Here are the latest pages in my daughters graduation album I am making her. papers are all from my stash with a prima flower border and an elegant edges border. The font was cut using gypsy wanderings.

b-day card

My aunt it turning 93 this week. She used to have a shore house and winter in Florida so I made a beach themed card using Life's a Beach. She doesn't think of herself as old so that is why the shark is going after the 93!The stamp was PTI.

jewelery

For some reason I got the jewelry bug Friday.. Went out for supplies and spend hours yesterday making anklets and bracelets. This picture is just a few of the ones I made.

very simple layout

I let the paper be the layout. I just added matted pictures and some stickles to the paper for dimension... My daughter doesn't like this so much but oh well.... I am using the paper I have and I thought the brown went well because it was the dark candling lighting ceremony.

2 page layout

I am still very much in love with elegant edges as you can see. I also used Indie art to cut the rose on my gypsy. The papers were misc. from my stash as I am in a use what you have phase right now. The lace was a paper lace from K & Co that I also had in my stash from card making. I love to cut up the invitations and programs from things and include them on my pages.

grrrrrr

When all... some/seems like most of my fav bloggers do is promote their own products since blogging is now a business or send you to links that they are getting kick backs on to forward you to...or better yet just show case free products they are sent to to sell it to you I get frustrated...Just my two cents.... I like to craft what I feel. Share it with other.

another mom request

My mom called after dinner and was like...oh did I mention I need a baptism card for this weekend also... Uh nooooooo... I do love her to death but... So drop everything tonight to make a card because I scrap tomorrow night and I worked on sets to assemble at scrapbooking on Thursday night all Monday and Tuesday night. ( I started doing this because I always get to the church and do not have what I need. So I try to plan out my page papers, colors, cuts etc before I go so I accomplish something. ) Anyhow, I used all papertrey ink papers on this card. The cross is cut from the Easter 2010 cartridge and sprayed with pearl tattered angels glimmer mist.

sympathy card

My mother ordered some sympathy cards from White's Hallmark as I refer to myself when she wants cards so last night I made 4 of these. I played around with distressing the edge of the light gray paper and decided that the Tim Holtz round distressor(sp) is on my wish list because what I have doesn't make it look the way I want. I then distressed the light gray with some black ink. The cut is from the pagoda cartridge. The gold paper and ribbon are from my stash. I sewed a black border on the sewing machine.

starting graduation album

I used elegant edges, some rick rack and a few irock yellow gems.

name book

I started this name book last summer for my daughter. I think I posted the pictures I did last summer on here already. I saved the last two pages for her nursing and college graduation. The only thing left to do is get ribbon to dress up the metal rings. I collected assorted nursing stickers for 4 years so some of them are on here. I also used elegant edges to make the frame for the nursing picture and the topper on the graduation pictures.
