This my third time trying to upload this post. I give up on the long paragraphs I have written... Sweat treats cart, paper old and unknown, making memories punch.

Mother's Day Card

My friend has the mother's day cart. I borrowed it tonight at our scrapbook group to make my mom's card. I used the DCWV Citrus stacks for the patterned and coordinating paper with the yellow base from papertrey ink.

Easter Layouts

Here is a 2-page spread using the solutions Easter cart. I covered the faces since my children would kill me and I didn't ask the other people if it was okay. I still need to add a journaling box in the middle of the 2nd page.

Explosion Box

Yesterday on Momo's Fav Friday I saw an explosion box by Canadian Nickel Scrap'n. I loved it. My mom's 89th birthday is Wednesday so she is either getting this one then or on Mother's Day. I finally got to use this really pretty Amy Butler paper pack from K&company. I also got to use some of the really pretty ribbon and a flower from Christina's give-a-way that I won.

WOW

All I can say is wow look at all these goodies. It was like Christmas morning today when the mail came. Everything was wrapped up in tissue paper making the experience that much more fun. Here is the amazing thing. With all the goodies that we all accumulate in papercrafting I do not own any of these things. Yahoo! I have to say that I ordered from custom crops on the 16th and ebay on the 17th and none of those things are here yet. Christina you are the best!

2nd page of snow robins.

I used the Storybook cart for the letters on this page. The paper is from a metallic paper pack I got at Walmart.

More snow pictures

It is an absolutely beautiful spring day here in South Jersey. So what do I do? Scrapbook our last snow day pictures. HAHAHA. I had to prop the page outside when taking the picture so you could see the embossing. I used the solutions When Its Cold Outside to cut the snowflakes, some glitter shaped brads that I do not know who made, a making memories punch, the cuddlebug snowflakes embossing folder and stickles. I added the clear stickles to the ends of the snowflakes and here and there on the embossing around the pictures to give it some bling! The second page of the layout isn't quite finished yet so that will come late.

My daughter called and wants penguins "like you made before" but with summer attire or accessories for a bulletin board at her college. Now am I supposed to remember what size I cut all of them last time?? I think not.

Thank you card

I have recently had the misfortune or fortune depending upon your perspective the need to send out a lot of thank you cards therefore depleting a lot of my arsenal. So this morning I created this simple thank you card using the gypsy to size the layers and lay them out so that I could actually cut enough layers to make 2 cards at one time.

Commercial

Months and months ago I saw a utube video from Custom crops about refurbishing your cricut mats. Well, I am all about saving money so I ordered the products. To make a long story short custom crops had difficulty stocking the product and I waited months for it. I will say that they were very good at updating me on the status of my order. I just used "stick away" to clean all the adhesive off a bunch of old mats, then taped the edges and sprayed with "stick and spray" temporary repositional adhesive. It was so easy to do. I can't wait to see how well the new condition mats compares to spending all the money to buy completely new ones. The advertisement for these products is that the 2 cans will refurbish a mat 48 times.. We will see.

21 card update

I lay in bed last night and kept picturing the 21 card and thinking it isn't quite there so I lulled over ideas to get it where I wanted it. This morning I tired several of them and decided on adding the patterned paper down the edges of the present along the blue metallic paper with the scalloped paper punch edge. NOW it looks finished to me.. ☺Don't want to bore you with another picture of the card.

21 birthday card

My daughters best friend before birth (her mom was my teaching assistant when we were both expecting) is such a sweet girl. Spent the day with her. She drove me to my daughters college about an hour and a half away so I could attend her nursing honor society induction.. Any how her birthday is this Friday and after spending most of the day with her I was inspired to make a card for her when I got home even though I am tired out. Isn't funny that when you get a card idea in your head you just can't settle until you make it? The dark blue on the present base is a metallic that really didn't photograph well.

chipboard book

Here are a few photos of a chipboard book for a co-worker who is going to have her first grandson in June. She is already a grandmother of two girls who call her nanny. When I put the album together I have blue and brown ribble to attach to the ring with small plastic colored saftey pins.

Thank you card

Well, the stickles is still drying on the chipboard book so here is a thank you card I made today. Picture is a little blurry cause I took it with my iphone sorry and the ribbon is not crooked it is just not laying completely flat. I made the base from the shadow tag feature on christmas cheer and merged them together on the gypsy. The layers were just sized down using original shadow tag shape feature. Paper used was papertrey ink base and DCMV citrus. I think I should call it a crafting day since I am going on an outing tomorrow and need to not wear myself out. My daughters best friend is driving me to her college so I can see my daughter get inducted into the nursing honor society.

Saturday

Well, I am def feeling better today. I finished my chipboard book this morning. Pictures to come when the stickles dry. I worked on some card layouts on my gypsy that I am going to try and cut in a bit. Yesterday was just a week since they removed things and reconstructed others so I guess I am doing good. A special thanks to all my friends for all the meals, cards, calls and offers to do errands for me. Being a single mom of young adults that do not live home this was one of those times that I felt kinda helpless so I am eternally grateful. To my blog friends I took your suggestions and ordered Create a Critter this morning along with Just Because Cards.. I will have 3 more weeks minimum of rehab before I get back to my classroom so thanks for the advice.

Monday

Well, I had surgery on Friday and recovery is moving a long. Not up to crafting yet but hopefully by the end of the week. My wonderful son bought me a Martha Stewart scoring board on sale at ACMOORE yesterday. Can't wait to use it. LOL he said he can't believe he is supporting my habit. I will be out of work for a month so I have plenty of time to catch up on all my crafts.

Thursday

It has been a stressful week dealing with doctors offices and insurance companies trying to figure out if my planned surgery is a go or no. Just waiting now for the nuclear stress test results to come back and see if surgery is on for tomorrow or not. I hope so. I have planned everything out. Maybe that is the problem, I planned too much and this is natures way of letting me know that I am in control of nothing. Any how, have done little scrapping this week. Enjoying my son being home. I did work on another chipboard book last night that is 80% done. Pictures will be posted as soon as it is complete. All depends on what happens tomorrow.

Daughters page

I helped my daughter make her scrapbook page for the sorority scrapbook album. She loves pink and pocketbooks so I finally got to use my Forever Young cartridge. I bought it with her in mind. It isn't the best image but you still get the idea from the picture.

Saturday night

I had hoped that I would get to scrap with my daughter tonight her 2 page spread needed for her sorority scrapbook at college but alas we ran out of time. ( I bought Forever Young Cartridge with just this in mind. ) We have been running since she got home. Yesterday picking up my son, stopping at the cherry hill mall to get her a dress for the nursing honor society induction at college and then out to dinner with my mom. Today we did the spring yard clean up at my moms to prep for mulch next week, went shopping, and met up with good family friends for a mani-pedi. (s0 much fun Gillian, Channon, and Bean.. my daughters best before birth friend and her mom and grand mom<< HAHAHAH we worked together when expecting so we say that. ) Tonight I made my sons belated birthday cake for tomorrow. (He lives in Brooklyn and he has had a red velvet cake for every one of his 25 years ) My kids died eggs with their gram who is about to turn 89 in a few weeks. I want to wish everyone a blessed Easter. He is Risen.. He is Risen Indeed. BTW I know I have like 2 followers but that is okay because I love putting my voice out there anyway.

children

I have been enjoying having my children home. Back to scrapping maybe later today with my daughter.
